STEP-BY-STEP INSTALLATION

1. DEMOUNT THE TIRE

  1. Deflate completely --- remove valve core.

  2. Break both beads using bead breaker or machine.

2. CLEAN THE RIM GROOVE

  1. Remove old seal with plastic pick.

  2. Spray groove with brake cleaner → wipe dry.

  3. Inspect for nicks or rust.

3. VERIFY L-RING SIZE

0.20"--0.30" above groove

Crushed or too tall

4. LUBRICATE

  1. Silicone spray on:

    • L-ring (both sides + lip)

    • Rim groove

    • Tire bead (inside)

  2. NO PETROLEUM --- destroys      rubber.

5. INSTALL L-RING

  1. Start at valve stem → work      around.

  2. Base in groovelip facing      OUTWARD (toward tire).

  3. Roll lip with thumbs --- must      stand upright.

6. MOUNT THE TIRE

  1. Lay tire on rim --- bottom bead first.

  2. Use plastic irons --- lip must stay under bead.

  3. Top bead last --- push lip inward if needed.

7. INFLATE SLOWLY

  1. Reinstall valve core.

  2. 10 PSI first → check lip      is under bead.

  3. Inflate to 40 PSI → beads "POP".

8. FINAL CHECK

No bubbles

24-hr hold

<1 psi drop

Low-PSI test

Run at 6--8 psi --- no slip

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem

Fix

Lip crushed

Wrong size or over-inflated

Bead won't seat

Re-lube lip, use ratchet strap

Air leak

Lip not under bead --- re-mount


SAFETY WARNINGS

  • Wear safety glasses

  • Use tire cage >40 PSI

  • Never stand over tire during seating

  • L-ring is NOT a beadlock ---      avoid >100 mph
